Best part of Forest Fires

This picture was taken the night before the smoke from the interior wildfires arrived. For the following week, the smoke blanketed the valley. The only road here closed. Houses were shut tight and no one went out. For a place that normally has such clean air, it was a smokey ghost town.

She needs a bit of work..

Look past the rust and decay, and we've got a beautiful new houseboat. A little spit and polish should get this gem floating again.. (Picture taken June, 2009)

After fighting fires and floods, we're finally able to give most of our time to restoring this beautiful new boat. It's getting there. (Picture taken Feb, 2010)
