As a long-time fan of MGH, I was once again surprised and delighted with new work from these creative men. MGH has produced a collection of tunes that showcase their mastery of the jarring, scraping, socially biting genre in which they work. At the same time, I detect a subtlty, a maturing, a folk-influenced undercurrent that I believe adds a new layer to the music. Depth of concept, distinctive instrumentation and their (always) uniquely posited lyrics make for a thoroughly enjoyable listening experience. I really like MGH!

wow. This wasn't what I was expecting at all. It's haunting and musical. I can't say what it sounds like, but I've been playing it ever since I got it. I'm telling my friends. Excellent.

I liked MGH's "A Little Bit Country." It's nice to hear intelligent music for a change. **** stars!

dear dada duo

you guys are the scariest talents i've ever encountered. your work and in fact all your life choices give me hope that this planet can be, well, beyond just palatable. perhaps even rich and heavenly.

thank you for that. a walking sitcom like me needs inspiration.

Produced following their departure from the Untied States of America, MGH's newest release places their efforts into a new sonic realm. Their past as creators of menacingly satiric synth/sample-tronica is still in evidence, but there's a musical clarity and grandeur to much of this material that listeners familiar with CRIB DEATH and MISS POLKA might not expect. Artistic progress is a grand thing and those very listeners are likely to appreciate what they've been up to lately. Pass this music by at your own peril.

Hello Folks,

Heard this at a party & made a copy. Hope you don't mind.
Incredible stuff.

Considering half of the tracks are instrumentals, it's easy to forget this thing is a not so subtle warning that this here 'bit country' is getting sicker and sicker.

I got a question, which is it? 'Mother's Day' or 'Mom's Dead'? Or both?

I'll check back for more stuff. Thanks for the bad news and good music.
